Rebuild Kit For Knight Rf Signal Generator

Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for a Knight RF generator. I don't know what the actual model number is--these just say "RF Generator" on the front. I have shown a picture of what the RF generator looks like, but this listing is not actually for an RF generator, just for the parts you can use to rebuild it. At this point the original Knight RF generators are at least 60-70 years old, and the old parts are weak and failing, with leaky capacitors and crumbling cords. We will make them new again! This kit includes a new replacement AC power cord and replacement electrolytic capacitors, plus two new yellow film caps and two new safety disk caps. It also includes an instruction sheet to explain how to install everything. This does not include any tubes or resistors. New caps are Supertech axial electrolytic capacitors, Supertech yellow MPT film capacitors, and X1Y2 safety disk capacitors--you will get the exact parts shown in the picture. These are all high- quality brand new genuine parts--these are the same parts I use when I rebuild test gear. The parts included are very close modern equivalents to the original parts--in this case the 20 uf sections of the under-chassis paper cap are replaced with 22 uf caps, the .1 uf cap is replaced with a .1, the .02 uf cap is replaced with a .02, and the .02 uf "death caps" are replaced with much safer .01 uf X1Y2 capacitors. I will include a surprisingly well-written instruction sheet, but rebuilding tube gear is somewhat complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron. This kit will not fix everything that could be wrong with your equipment, but it will certainly help. Please see my pictures for details.
