The Generac Extreme Cold Weather Kit contains mounting hardware that may need to be used, as well as step by step instructions on how to install the generator block heater, although we recommend that an authorized dealer performs the installation. It is important that the oil in your generator is changed to an appropriate synthetic oil before installing the kit, the generator block heater will help keep the liquid running smoothly and ensure the machine operates at full capacity.
